I love to re-read–I’d hazard that at least a quarter of my romance reading is re-reading books I’ve previously read and loved. I’m lucky–it’s rare I’ve re-read a book and been far less happy with it the second time around. My most recent re-reads were two of Madeline Hunter’s Rarest Blooms series, Provocative in Pearls…
I wasn’t even sure I’d find the time to write my annual holiday letter this year. Whoa Daisy, 2014 was a busy year. Between getting married to the love of my life and finding my perfect, fulfilling and oh so rewarding career, I’ve barely had time to watch Scandal! As I’m sure you recall, at the…
Once upon a time there was a romance novelist who blithely signed up to retell Jane Austen’s Persuasion. Once upon a time there was a romance novelist who was an idiot. That would be me. I’m kidding – kind of.
At one point in time, RWA (Romance Writers of America) was the envy of other genre writers. With over 10,000 members, a robust conference, and courses and tools for published and unpublished writers, it nurtured the careers of many for over four decades. It was, however, always a traditionally leaning organization. In this century, they…

These pieces have been some of our most…
For me, 2018 was going to be an exciting year. Back in 2016, I pitched an idea to a few of my author friends. The concept was not original. Harlequin had done in years ago. However, my perfect series would be slightly different. While each story would be set in a decade of the 20th…
Wow! I voted for the winner but never expected it would be the one. Look forward to reading it and the discussion next month.
For any audio listeners out there, I think this one is even better (and I would give it an A in book form) in audio! So good.
With Nicholas Boulton as narrator,I can only imagine!
I am excited about this one although all three are books I’ve enjoyed.
I actually own this and have never read it yet so I’m excited. I really would have been happy with most of the choices offered. I haven’t read a good Medieval story in quite a while so I have high hopes for this one! Looking forward to the discussion!
I love a good Medieval!
I’m looking forward to reading, well listening, to this again and participating in the discussion.
I lost track of time for this! Let’s discuss it on December 9th!
Works for me.
I had all three of the series in the cloud and thanks to the coming discussion I reread all three and enjoyed them more the second time around!see you on December 9th.
