Ever since the start of 2020, I’ve been–more or less–posting a poem a day on Facebook. It’s been a wondrous gift. A poem, short and searing, takes just a few moments of your time to read. I’ve shared poems from across the centuries, happy poems, crushingly sad poems, hopeful poems, and poems about random things….
I’ve always loved poetry and since Covid hit, on my Facebook page, I’ve posted #APoemADay. I’ve shared poems from across the centuries, written by men and women from many nations, on topics as varied as death to washing the dishes. It’s been great fun.
In honor of April being National Poetry Month, I asked some of the AAR staffers to share their favorite romantic poetry.
