The votes are in and we’re reading Jennifer Crusie’s Manhunting!

Here’s the summary from Amazon:

Kate Svenson may be a dynamite businesswoman—but after three failed engagements, she’s decided she’s hopeless at romance. What she needs is a Business Plan to help her find Mr. Right. The Cabins resort is ripe with eligible bachelors, all rich and ambitious—just her type. But they’re dropping like flies, and after fishing Kate’s latest reject out of the swimming pool Jake Templeton is convinced that Kate is nothing but trouble. Especially for him. A man who’s sworn off ambition and a woman hanging from the top of the corporate ladder don’t have much in common. But in that unpredictable territory known as the heart, anything can happen…

Crusie actually has a readers’ guide to this book–you can find it here–and I’ll post it when we are ready to discuss the book in four weeks. (May 10th is Book Club Day!)

I’ve never read this and I am so excited to read it with you guys! (Because you are, of course, THE BEST.)

Let’s do this!

  1. Thanks for creating this group activity!
I’m generally a Crusie fan; and read this title years ago. It isn’t one I’ve read recently, so will be interesting to reread and see if it holds up 😉

  2. Yay! I haven’t read this book in ages. Ten years at least if not more I would say, It’s probably going to be like reading a new book after all this time. And I need something to divert me from my Kresley Cole Immortals bender I’ve been on lately. 12 books and counting so far……

  3. Lol, I’m calling it now- you’re an enabler. I’m at the point where a book intervention is going to be necessary. I just finished my first Daciano book tonight and the number left to read in this series is dwindling. Jennifer Crusie should be a nice a change of pace.

  4. Manhunting is very funny but dated and I’m trying to ignore Jake’s “full moustache” which seems to be a supporting cast member. Kate’s casual friendly manner and her new friendships with pals Penny and Nancy is what hooked me, though the romance is pretty toasty.
