I love to re-read–I’d hazard that at least a quarter of my romance reading is re-reading books I’ve previously read and loved. I’m lucky–it’s rare I’ve re-read a book and been far less happy with it the second time around. My most recent re-reads were two of Madeline Hunter’s Rarest Blooms series, Provocative in Pearls…
One of my earliest childhood sports memories is the day I found out my dad was taking my brother to watch the Winnipeg Jets. Without me. To say I was jealous would be a massive understatement, and, as my parents love to remind me, I pitched a fit. The decision to leave me out had…
Harlequin is having their biggest sale ever. From October 18-25, all Harlequin category romance eBooks will be on-sale for just $1.99 each! There are over 18,000+ titles on sale. That’s a lot of books and it’s hard to choose. So, we’re asking for recommendations. Tell us what are your favorite Harlequin category romances? Thanks!
Yesterday, Iron Flame was released. For those who live under a social media/news rock–and that is often a GREAT place to be–this is the second book in Rebecca Yarros’ series about telepathic dragons. The first one, The Fourth Wing, was one of this year’s biggest sellers–it has over 105K five star reviews at Amazon! (Our…
In 2015, I interviewed Maya Rodale about her fabulous book, Dangerous Books for Girls. (You can read the interview here.) Maya has updated the book and we sat down (via email) to discuss the changes. Here’s our discussion. Dabney: You’ve updated this wonderful book. Why? Maya: So much has happened in the world and in…
Here’s a column from three years ago. It holds up well, we think. What are your favorite proposals? We at AAR wish all our readers a happy Valentine’s Day! Today is Valentine’s Day, a day known for over-extravagant, “show me you love me” gifts that sometime mimic scenes from one of our favorite romance novels. We are…
Wow! I voted for the winner but never expected it would be the one. Look forward to reading it and the discussion next month.
For any audio listeners out there, I think this one is even better (and I would give it an A in book form) in audio! So good.
With Nicholas Boulton as narrator,I can only imagine!
I am excited about this one although all three are books I’ve enjoyed.
I actually own this and have never read it yet so I’m excited. I really would have been happy with most of the choices offered. I haven’t read a good Medieval story in quite a while so I have high hopes for this one! Looking forward to the discussion!
I love a good Medieval!
I’m looking forward to reading, well listening, to this again and participating in the discussion.
I lost track of time for this! Let’s discuss it on December 9th!
Works for me.
I had all three of the series in the cloud and thanks to the coming discussion I reread all three and enjoyed them more the second time around!see you on December 9th.
