OK, the ship you were on sank and you and the island partner of your dreams managed to make it safely to a remote island with no hope of immediate rescue. However, when you were jumping into the only raft that made it–with aforementioned castaway hottie–you were able to grab ONE book, ONE album, and…
If you’ve ever finished a historical romance and found yourself thinking about it for days—the way the heroine claimed her power (for better or for worse), the way another time and place burst off the page—you already know what makes this genre extraordinary. Maybe you’ve debated whether the title Duke is overused, have strong feelings…
This book is on sale right now to celebrate its tenth anniversary. (This piece was originally published on June 15, 2015.) I interviewed Maya again, in 2023, when she put out a revised edition. I was at an absurdly hip underground pop-up dinner (eleven tiny courses based around the 1968 Volkswagen bus) and seated across from a…

Wow! I voted for the winner but never expected it would be the one. Look forward to reading it and the discussion next month.
For any audio listeners out there, I think this one is even better (and I would give it an A in book form) in audio! So good.
With Nicholas Boulton as narrator,I can only imagine!
I am excited about this one although all three are books I’ve enjoyed.
I actually own this and have never read it yet so I’m excited. I really would have been happy with most of the choices offered. I haven’t read a good Medieval story in quite a while so I have high hopes for this one! Looking forward to the discussion!
I love a good Medieval!
I’m looking forward to reading, well listening, to this again and participating in the discussion.
I lost track of time for this! Let’s discuss it on December 9th!
Works for me.
I had all three of the series in the cloud and thanks to the coming discussion I reread all three and enjoyed them more the second time around!see you on December 9th.
